Kick vs Twitch analytics: what each dashboard shows
Published 1 November 2026
Kick vs Twitch analytics cover the same basics under different names. Both show streamers their average and peak viewers, watch time, chatters and new followers in a Creator Dashboard. Twitch keeps a longer list of past streams and lets you download your data, while Kick's Overview has no export.
Where each dashboard lives
Kick's analytics open from your profile icon at the top right. Pick Creator Dashboard, then expand the Analytics menu on the left. Kick's analytics have three screens, Overview, Streams and Partnerships, and you open them on desktop. Verified and Partner streamers got Kick's analytics first, and the rest followed from July 2026.
Twitch also keeps its analytics in the Creator Dashboard, spread across 6 pages. On both platforms, only the platform's own streams appear, so a streamer on both has two dashboards to read.
The main figures side by side
Most figures match across the two platforms once you line up the names.
| What it measures | Kick's name | Twitch's name |
|---|---|---|
| Typical number watching at once | Average CCV | Average viewers |
| Most watching at one moment | Peak CCV | Max viewers |
| Total watch time | Hours Watched | Minutes watched |
| Different people who watched | Unique Viewers | Unique viewers |
| Different people who chatted | Unique Chatters | Unique chatters |
| Messages in chat | Chat Messages | Chat messages |
| New followers | Followers Gained | Follows |
Twitch counts watch time in minutes and Kick counts it in hours. Divide Twitch's figure by 60 before you compare the two. Twitch also lists raid viewers, which Kick's list of figures doesn't name.
Kick's list also names Category Breakdown, Hours Streamed, Streams Frequency, Subscriber Count and Subscriber Growth. Twitch names four figures as its preferred signs of growth, which are average viewers, minutes watched, follows and unique chatters.
History, downloads and sharing
| Kick | Twitch | |
|---|---|---|
| Period choices | 7, 30, 60 or 90 days | Last 30 days by default, or a custom range |
| List of past streams | The past 3 months | Up to 180 days back |
| Download | No export; print to PDF from your browser | Data can be downloaded |
Twitch also updates a Stream Summary within 15 minutes of each stream ending, and keeps only your last 30. Older streams stay in the Analytics pages.
To share Kick figures with a brand, you send a Media Kit. Each Media Kit is a private link with a read-only view. It expires after 30 days, and you can keep up to 10 running at once. The links aren't published anywhere on Kick. No agency gets lasting access to a streamer's analytics.
Unless a Media Kit is shared, nobody but the streamer sees Kick's analytics.
Public viewer counts on each platform
Outside the dashboards, both platforms publish live viewer counts through their APIs. Any app can read a live Twitch stream's current viewer count through Twitch's API. Kick's public API gives a viewer count for every live stream too.
A Kick streamer can turn the count off in the Creator Dashboard, using the Show view count switch in Channel actions. When Kick's API returns 0, the count may be hidden or the stream may have no viewers. Kick's docs don't say which. KickStatz shows these as "not shown", and how it works explains why.
KickStatz reads Kick only. The site has no Twitch data, so it can't put one channel's Kick and Twitch figures side by side.
Kick analytics versus Twitch analytics: which should I use?
Use the dashboard of the platform you stream on. If you stream on both, read both, and line up the figures with the table above.
Compare averages before peaks. A peak is one moment, while an average covers the whole stream, so two averages make a fairer pair. Convert Twitch's minutes watched to hours before you set it beside Kick's Hours Watched.
Neither dashboard shows other people's channels. For a public view of any Kick channel, the KickStatz channel page shows peak and average viewers over its recorded streams.
How YouTube and Streamlabs compare
YouTube shows live figures in Live Control Room while you stream. Those figures include concurrent viewers, peak concurrent viewers, chat rate and average view duration. Chat rate is the number of live chat messages per minute.
After the stream, the figures reach YouTube Analytics within minutes. In YouTube Studio, go to Content, open the Live tab, then Analytics, and the Engagement tab shows concurrent viewers and chat messages.
| Kick | YouTube | |
|---|---|---|
| Viewers right now | Viewers, on the live Creator Dashboard | Concurrent viewers, in Live Control Room |
| Most at one moment | Peak CCV | Peak concurrent |
| Chat | Chat Messages, Chat Rate, Unique Chatters | Chat rate (messages per minute), chat messages |
| Where to find it later | Creator Dashboard, Analytics | YouTube Studio, Content, Live tab, Analytics |
Streamlabs is streaming software, and Kick is one of the destinations it supports. Its core tools are free, and Streamlabs Ultra costs $27 a month or $189 a year.
| Kick analytics | Streamlabs | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Kick's own figures for your channel | Software and tools for streaming, with Kick among its destinations |
| Viewer figures | Average and peak CCV for a chosen period | A viewer counter widget that shows the live count on stream, with Kick supported |
| Who sees it | The streamer only, or anyone sent a Media Kit link | Viewers of the stream, when the widget is on screen |
| Cost | Part of Kick's Creator Dashboard | Core tools free; Ultra $27 a month or $189 a year |
